AS Degree

Certificate in Video Technologies Essentials*

PACE UniversityThe Certificate in Video Technologies Essentials* introduces students to intermediate concepts and applications of digital television including video and smart technologies, home wiring and home smart technologies. This certificate is designed as a follow up to the Intro to Broadband Certificate and is offered by fully accredited Pace University. The certificate can be used as either a stand-alone credential, or can be folded into the A.S. Degree, Video Technology. Students can choose to stop at any step along the way, or continue to complete the degree depending on their goals and needs.

Who should apply?
This program is open to people interested in learning the design, operations, and maintenance of these leading edge technologies, and who:

  • Have a high school diploma
  • Cannot attend a traditional college program
  • Want to prepare for entry level Broadband technician jobs in the industry
  • Want to expand their knowledge of Broadband technologies
  • Have completed the Intro to Broadband Certificate

What will I learn?
The courses provide students with the concepts needed for an intermediate level of understanding of the emerging video technologies and ‘triple-play’ product features.

What certificate will I earn?

How long does the program take to complete?
Assuming most students are studying part-time, the program can be completed in one year.

When can I apply?
