BS Degree



PACE UniversityThis innovative degree program, taught completely online by fully accredited Pace University, provides students with extensive theoretical and practical knowledge in telecommunications technologies, as well as analytical, business and problem solving skills. Students gain a thorough understanding of both the technical and operational aspects of the industry, and emerge prepared for success in a wide range of telecom careers.

Who should apply?
The online degree is open to adults working in or interested in pursing a degree in telecommunications, who:
  • Have already earned an Associate's Degree* (60-64 credits from an accredited college or university) with a minimum 2.5 GPA (grade point average)
  • Have at least three years' full-time work experience or the equivalent
  • Cannot attend traditionally scheduled classes
  • Are motivated to learn online (Is Online Learning for Me?)
  • Are Verizon Next Step program graduates
  • Are NACTEL A.S. degree program graduates


What will I learn?
The online program delivers:
  • A solid understanding of emerging telecommunications technologies, including Fiber Optics, Broadband, Voice Over IP and Wireless
  • A strong base in the fundamental industry concepts and practices
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills using computer technology
  • A keen awareness of telecom industry management and operations
  • Teamwork, communications and career development skills and best practices


What degree will I earn?
Upon successful completion of this program, graduates will receive an Accelerated Bachelors of Science degree in Professional Technology Studies with a concentration in Telecommunications from Pace University of White Plains, NY.

How long does the program take to complete?
Students who meet the above qualifications can expect to complete the BS program on a fast track, usually within two years, on a part-time basis.
