AS degree - Telecommunications


The A.S. in Telecom prepares students for many technical positions in the telecommunications industry.  At the successful completion of this 64-credit program, graduates will receive the Associate of Science in Applied Information Technology in Telecommunications from Pace University.  This degree program builds on, and includes, the Introduction to Telecommunications Certificate and the Telecommunications Essentials Certificate, and is transferable into Pace University's Accelerated B.S. degree program.

What will I learn?

This program provides students with an understanding of circuit-switch networking technology built on copper lines, including DSL, as well as a comprehensive core of telecom technology courses.  The Telecommunications track provides the fundamentals of telephony, solid state circuits, digital and microprocessor fundamentals, DSL, computer applications, communications and math, as well as the basics of the industry's emerging technologies.
